Kore Press joins IPG's River North Editions
Wednesday - June 1, 2011
IPG is extremely pleased to announce that Kore Press has joined its River North Editions. Based in Tucson, Arizona, Kore Press was founded in 1993 with the mission to publish a strong list of book titles on human rights, social justice, politics, and advocacy in Africa. Another key focus of their publishing efforts is the literary and artistic works of women writers traditionally underrepresented in the cultural mainstream. This hard work has delivered more than 60 original titles into print with many celebrated authors, including Holly Iglesias, Elline Lipkin, Sandra Lim, and Spring Ulmer. The most recent success is Kelcey Parker's For Sale By Owner—a collection of "gorgeous, sinister dreams": stories of motherhood, marriage, and the "twisted domesticity" of contemporary suburbia—which won the 2011 Next Generation Indie Book Award for Short Fiction. Kore Press publishes women's writing to deepen awareness and advance progressive social change.
