The Strugatsky brothers were the most famous and popular Russian science fiction writers of the Soviet era. While many of their books were translated into English in their lifetimes, they have long since gone out of print. Since 2012, we have been publishing newly translated editions of these legendary classics. Our latest Strugatsky title, The Inhabited Island, is officially out now!
In the comments below, let us know which Strugatsky book is your favorite.

Love all the Strugatsky translations. According to the blurb for his Celestial Hellscapes book, Kevin Reese “is translating the Strugatskiis’ final works – their novel Those Burdened by Evil and their play The Yids of the City of Peter.” Will Chicago Review Press be Publishing these?
Hi Dave! Thanks so much for your comment. Chicago Review Press will not be publishing those translations. Lame Fate | Ugly Swans will be the last Strugatsky book we publish.
Glad you change your opinion Chicago Review Press 🙂
